About.

At StackCFO, your startup will receive the undivided attention of a seasoned CFO, empowering you to make informed decisions for the journey ahead.

Carlos Gonzalez, your Fractional CFO at StackCFO.

As a proud resident of Palo Alto, California, I'm immersed in the dynamic startup ecosystem of Silicon Valley. You'll often find me at local events, where the air is electric with the talent and ambition of founders, and where investors are keen to share their wisdom and take calculated risks. This environment is the perfect ground for someone like me—a lifelong learner and fractional CFO. Another cornerstone of my personal and professional development is Stanford University. Its open community is so enriching that I find myself continually enrolling in new courses.

As the former CFO of a $2.0 billion Investment Fund, I bring a wealth of experience from diverse financial landscapes, having lived and worked in the US, Spain, the UK, and Singapore. My foundational skills were honed at KPMG, where I started in audit before moving into M&A . Alongside my professional journey, I earned an Executive MBA from IESE Business School. Throughout my career, I've also played pivotal roles in helping companies secure investments and financing, often with a strong international focus

Today, my focus is exclusively on startups, primarily those at the Series Seed or Series A stages. My services range from establishing foundational elements like accounting systems and financial projections to enhancing financial governance to meet the rigorous demands of VC-backed companies—and everything in between

Being Spanish and having worked on three continents, I have encountered a space that I really enjoy: assisting foreign startups in preparation for and after they flip to the US. All things considered, having operations overseas and a holding company in the US, can be very beneficial. I help startups sculpt their financial governance to ensure they capture those benefits
